The JAL Peer Support Program (hereinafter referred to as “JPSP”) is a service provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”). The following is our policy on the handling of personal information of users

JAL Peer Support Program (hereinafter referred to as “JPSP”) has established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) regarding the handling of personal information of users in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “Services”). The following is the policy for the protection of personal information (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”).

Article 1.

(Personal Information)

Personal information” refers to ‘personal information’ as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and refers to information about a living individual that can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions, etc., contained in the information, as well as information that can identify the specific individual by itself, such as appearance, fingerprints, voice print data, and health insurance card insurer number. Information that can identify a specific individual by itself (personal identification information), such as appearance, fingerprints, voiceprint data, and the insurer's number on a health insurance card. Even information that by itself does not identify an individual, such as the content of a conversation during a consultation, falls under the category of personal information if it can easily identify an individual by linking it with other information.

Article 2.

(Statistical Information)

Statistical information refers to information that is used to extract common elements from the personal information provided to quantitatively indicate trends and characteristics of a specific group, which completely excludes correspondence with specific individuals. Examples of this information include the user's job responsibilities and the type of flight crew.

Article 3.

(Safe Zone)

A safe zone is a confidential environment within the JPSP organization. This confidential environment consists of the following

 1. Peer

 2. Coordinator

 3. MHP

 4. Program leader

Article 4.

(Method of collecting personal information)

JPSP collects personal information in the following cases

 1. when you enter your personal information through an information terminal when making a reservation for this service

 2. When you provide your personal information to a peer or JPSP through an interview

 3. When it is necessary to collect personal information for the use of this service in addition to the above. 

Article 5.

(Purpose of collecting and using personal information)

JPSP collects and uses personal information for the following purposes

1. To provide this service

2. To respond to inquiries from users

3. To contact users as necessary for important notices, etc.

4. To publish personal information after processing it into statistical information so that individuals cannot be identified

5. For purposes incidental to the above purposes of use

Article 6.

(Change of Purpose of Use)

  1. JPSP shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when the purpose of use is reasonably considered to be relevant to the purpose of use before the change.

  2. In the event of a change in the purpose of use, JPSP shall publicly announce the purpose of use after the change on this website in a manner prescribed by JPSP.

Article 7.

(Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

JPSP will not provide personal information to third parties other than peers in charge without the prior consent of the user. However, personal information may be shared within the Safe Zone in the following cases

 1. when there are indications of a suicide attempt

 2. if there are indications of a threat to the safety of others or to the operation of the aircraft

 3. when we believe that illegal or criminal activity has occurred or is likely to occur.

Article 8.

(Disclosure of Personal Information)

When JPSP receives a request for disclosure of personal information from an individual, JPSP will disclose such information to the individual without delay. However, JPSP may decide not to disclose all or part of the personal information in any of the following cases, and if it decides not to disclose the personal information, JPSP will notify the individual to that effect without delay

1. If there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual concerned or a third party

2. If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper conduct of JPSP's business

3. In the event of any other violation of laws and regulations.

Article 9.

(Changes to the Privacy Policy)

Changes to this policy are as follows

1. The contents of this policy may be changed without notice to users, except as otherwise provided in laws and regulations or in this policy.

2. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
